Nails in feet, Driving, Glasses, Teeth, and Scrabble

So much has happened in the last couple of days, I’m not even sure where to begin…I guess I’ll just go chronologically.

After my drunken train ride to Toronto and a day at the cottage, my mother and I drove home in a blizzard. It took us over 4 hours to get home, and when we did, we were exhausted! We went to the barn to feed the horses, and that’s when disaster struck! I heard screams – like an impaled banshee, but it was no banshee, it was my impaled mother. In our haste to complete the barn work, my mom had neglected to notice the board with the big rusty nail sticking straight up – she did, however, notice it once it was in her foot. After removing the nail and draining the pool of blood from her boot, the excitement faded, and all was fine after a good ol’ tetanus shot.

Day after foot ‘incident’: I took my G2 Exit test for attempt number one – all I needed was one! Not only did I take the test in a manual car, but I took it in a strange city. Speaking of strange cities, I don’t recommend anyone go out of their way to go to Oshawa, it’s a bit of a dump to put it nicely.

I went to the optometrist; he told me I needed glasses. I got glasses. I never thought that my first Gucci article would be plastic, but that’s who made the glasses, and that’s what the glasses are made of.

I went to the dentist today, and she cleaned my teeth for me. I hadn’t been to the dentist in about 2 years, and the increased sensitivity in my teeth recently had me a little worried. The news was nothing but good news! I’m 21 years old and I’ve never had a cavity. Nothing beats oral hygiene, GO HYGIENE!

After my relaxing trip to the dentist I decided to add a little spice to my life, so I challenged my father to a game of Scrabble. With a score over 300, I won with the new family record! I was so riled from the Scrabble that I almost went on a smashing spree, however, I was able to restrain myself.

That about puts me up to date.
